2006 Scholarship Recipients

The 2006 recipient of the Steven Spaziano Memorial Scholarship is Keith Mathieu. The 2006 recipients of the Arnold M. Sidel Memorial Scholarship are Ronald Hammond and Joseph Bellucci.
 

The Arnold M. Sidel Memorial Scholarship is awarded in memory of Arnold M. Sidel, a University of Rhode Island College of Pharmacy graduate, class of 1958.
Susan Sidel presents the 2006 Arnold M. Sidel Memorial Scholarships to Ronald Hammond and Joseph Bellucci.  

He became a leader in the profession of pharmacy,
serving as President of the Rhode Island Pharmacists
Association.

Highly respected by his colleagues, he was among the first consultant pharmacists to specialize in geriatrics and long term care. In 1982, Mr. Sidel was awarded the Bowl of Hygeia for outstanding community service and in 1989 his peers honored him with the Guido Pettinichio Pharmacist of the Year Award.

A caring, compassionate man who loved to teach, Mr. Sidel participated in the University of Rhode Island preceptor program and was voted Preceptor of the Year in 1985.
